This apartment size and the natural light is great! I also love the location as it is close to the highway and so many groceries, restaurants, etc...and of couse...Sugar House Park.
Even after the apartment management came out to check out my apartment, the cigarette smell has persisted. Management even put notices on every door about the smoking and how it is against the lease. Some residents still continue to smoke inside their apartments and also on their balconies. The smell is usually strongest in the mornings and in the evenings.
If you are not a smoker, and detest the smell of smoke, you will be as upset as I am if you happen to live in an apartment that smells like this.
I am honestly afraid to wash my clothes as that is where most the smell is seeping in from (the laundry closet).
I even asked management if they would move me to a different apartment in the complex, and they said there is not anything available, and they also would NOT pay for movers. Why should I have to pay for my own movers again, when I just moved in a little more than a month ago, and this advertised "nonsmoking" property is clearly not nonsmoking?
I have been using sprays, essential oils, beads, and candles, but they truly do not help, and only seem to mask the terrible odor from the cigarettes.
For the amount of money I pay in rent, this is not ok.
I love the location and size of these apartments. We are close to so many things, including the beautiful Sugar House Park.
At this point, I have only been here for a week, but there is a terrible cigarette smell which has been coming through the utility closet, and washer/dryer closet.
I do think the apartments are a bit overpriced for the area, especially when there were spider webs right inside by the doors, as well as cracks and stains in the concrete flooring (which does add to character, but I noted this on my move-in document so I am not charged).
I have reached out to management about the smoking, and hopefully something will be done to get the smell out of the apartment. I will definitely update my review if this changes soon.
